I've been trying to find a copy of this for a long time. Second Chance Games have a copy, but there is no way I can afford to pay £88 plus postage for it.

It also no longer seems to be on the GMT site, even as a P500 reprint, which is a great shame.

Great. Now I want this. :D
-
Sorry :(
BGG show 2 copies for sale in the US, $80 and $110.

Thanks to the generosity of a good friend, I've just been gifted an excellent pre-owned copy of this game. I've been avidly reading the living rules, so I'm raring to go. More reports to follow. :bigthumb:

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. It is a nice looking game.

Will do, Mike. :bigthumb:

I'm very impressed with what I've learnt of the game thus far.
Maybe its not a popular topic, but given some of the obscure stuff that GMT print, I'm surprised that its been out of print for so long and is not on the list of P500 reprints.
I shall report more in due course.

I don't think I've ever gamed the Spanish Civil War. I do have Espana1936 from AGEOD though.
-
The only other SCW game I've played is a tactical level one from Compass games, being one of the 'War Storm' series.
-
I'm really enjoying exploring what this game has to offer. Although at bottom line its a good old school 'I-Go U-Go' system with a fairly conventional CRT, there are lots of interesting subtleties and 'chrome' that really make this an outstanding game.
I shall report more in due course.

For any who would like to explore the Spanish Civil War, here is a podcast that is pretty detailed. Not really sure how balanced this is. Seems to be very anti Franco, but with all that has come out about the atrocities and assassination s, it may not be so biased after all.
A thoroughly nasty war that I know too little about.

'The Battle for Spain' by Antony Beevor is an exceptionally good book on the subject.
-
The June issue of Battles magazine will haves a game from the Spanish Civil War.
Artwork looks good.

First post on AD, be gentle.
Battles Magazine #14 included Storm over Madrid. It covers the fighting around Madrid in late 1936 to early 1937. It's an area based game that makes it a great candidate for a TTS module. So, with permission from the publisher, I created a module for the game. The scenarios have scripted setup etc.

Yes, I have looked at that game and it looks really interesting. I played 'Storm over Stalingrad' quite a bit, and its obviously based on the same system.
I could be tempted!
