This is really neat. Rather impractical, but fun.
Was this developed post Dunkerque? The british considered a lot of wacky answers to the situation.
There was a display at the Imperial War Museum of the Bates Bottle Thrower.
It looked like a cannon, at first glance, but was a device that threw molotov cocktails out to about a hundred yards. Worked like a slingshot with massive rubber bands to propel the coke bottles.
