An old favourite of mine from the C-64 days is now free on Steam. A great old RTS game, if a bit dated, but pure nostalgia, and a good blast for no cost.

If that STEAM version ever ran on a C-64 then the coders deserve some kind of medal for amazing code-fu!  ;D

That looks a lot like Massive Assault, from Matrix, back in the mid-2000s.

I think Stagger has the right of it - I must have played it when I first got a PC rather than an earlier machine.
