Meeples are a lot of things but interesting isn't one of them.

They'll probably have some to sell, but are likely shipping all the Kickstarters first

BC may have a 'demo copy' he'd sell

at a certain point, the inside jokes are going to be lost on the new guys  :peace:

plus, if you get a comp'ed copy of something to write any articles for us, you know better than to sell it.

Or you throw a hissy fit, keep the game and publish the article on another site. :idiot2:

that would've been nutty, but he paid for that particular game out of pocket.

The rest is completely true. Quite a hill to die on.

It's be great if my copy was actually delivered. Or even if the survey they sent me to find out if it had been delivered actually worked. Or if they responded to the email I sent since the survey didn't work, telling them it hadn't been delivered.

So far, these guys are proving that they shouldn't be in the business of producing games.

I am not given to kicking people when they're not succeeding or down, but, um...

Re-watch the video, won't you?

Realize that SOMEBODY designed the covers of those rule books.

SOMEBODY proofed them.

I RECORDED A VIDEO IN WHICH I AM HOLDING THEM.

Something was maybe -- just maybe -- missed.

This is why I warn folks who think they can produce games to think long and hard about it...

Maybe that’s why I don’t have a game yet. Maybe I need to wait a decade.

Then it will be called Austerlitz 1815!

According to the rule book, it is.

On the upside, the game did finally arrive yesterday. Unfortunately, the box has been crushed. The actual game box lid is dished in. Of the two general figures, one is snapped off at the feet and the other was bent so badly that straitening it will also cause it to snap off. The Cemetery marker has a crushed corner. All of these were shipped outside of the game box, protected only by some bubble wrap.

The game itself looks to be fine. I can't say that their fulfilment measures up to the quality of the game itself. I hope the next game they make, they use a different fulfillment partner.

Of course, there's also the manual misprint that Cyrano pointed out, which someone really should have caught.

any idea who it was doing fulfillment?  anyone connected to Tabletop Tycoon?

No, they haven't mentioned the fulfilment company. It looks like it all came from Europe, rather than being shipped to the US and then distributed by a US distributor. The mailing was via Suisse Post.

I've been trading email with the developer, and he's a great guy. He certainly stepped up and offered to make things right. My issues are pretty minor, so I told him not to worry about it.

I have to say that the game itself is really nicely done. As you can see from Cyrano's video, the components are high-quality. The map is really gorgeous.

The poor guys had tons of production issues with this. It also sounds like maybe they got screwed by either the printer or the distributor (dealing with a bit of a language barrier in our conversation). I feel sorry for the man.

Glitches aside, I think this is going to be a hell of a game. You don't get much more Kriegspiel than this without straight up playing the 1824 rules.

Sounds like it might be a great fit for you as a game, then, once the production issues are set aside 😀

Hello guys !!!

The first thing is to apologize for not having written here before, until today I have not seen the thread ... as you know, we have many problems with the transport company and we are trying to solve them ... that is why we have had to change company...

We did the survey to see who the game had not reached and to see how many shipments we have to do again and we are working on it.

Please excuse the delay and inconvenience ... we are a small publisher, but we care about any problems that may arise with our customers ... you are the ones who make it possible for us to continue launching games on the market.

To those who have not yet received the game, we will send it to you again, you can be sure of that.

I want to apologize to you again and for any questions you have about the game, please ask me ... I will be watching this forum.

Best regards

Every human endeavor is fraught with error.

Not everyone has the courage to admit and work honestly to correct them.

Glad you're here!
