Sounds like right up Airboy's alley....

Tomorrow will see the release of Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics for PC on Steam. This is a squad-level, tactical combat game based on the RPG which sounds a lot like XCOM mixed with...well, who cares what it's mixed with. They had me at "like XCOM".

The thing is, how many times have we seen stuff like this, and drooled and waited etc only to find that on release, its full of bugs, has tonnes of terrible reviews and generally fits the description 'pile of poo'?

However, lets hope its going to be as good as it looks!

It is best to wait for a few reviews and opinions. I've quit buying games on the first day of release. There are exceptions to that rule, though. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a first day purchase for me.  :D

Agreed. In fact, I can't remember the last time that I purchased a game that was not is a sale.

That's another thing. I tend to wait for sales now. The premium first day price seems to drop quite a bit after a year and with so many unplayed games in my library I can wait.

Lord, the only time I pay full price for a game now is if it's something one of my kids want.

As much as I want Red Dead 2, I'm probably going to hold off until I finish the first one.

This one is one my wish list. Like the rest of you though, I'll probably wait for a sale. Even if it turns out to be great, I have more than enough to keep me occupied until the price comes down. Not getting to a game for six months or a year after release doesn't bug me these days in the least.

I actually don't really like games.
