Everyone would notice an extra 20 or a missing 1. But who looks for a 3 or an extra 17?
From the "for people who have more money than sense" department - I give you Louis Vuitton dice!

I don't know what's sadder...that this set of d6 dice is $720, or that it's sold friggin' out. ???
For $700 the dice should at least roll themselves. :o

Or come with a hooker to roll them for you.....

And the mentioned famous Lou Zocchi video:
As god as my witness, I think those are pretty cool dice. 8)
Nonsense! Post those pics! :D
Does anyone else prefer small dice? I've got some 5mm d6 from various games and they're my favorites.
I don't have 5mm (goodness, that's tiny!) but I do have a set of 10mm RPG dice.
One of the advantages is that I can no longer read them without glasses, so I can just make up whatever roll I needed.I don't have 5mm (goodness, that's tiny!) but I do have a set of 10mm RPG dice.
I can imagine I would want to go smaller than 10mm, unless maybe they were being used as markers to track stats or some such thing.
I caved and back the "Advent-ure Calendar 7: Santa's Workshop" on the Black Oak Workshop Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1398817948/polyhedral-dice-advent-ure-calendars-5-7/description). I really wanted Calendar 6: The Deathgale Galleon

ordered
It's the only thing game-related I've actually ordered this year, so far.
Ok, so I listened to the episode. (Gasp! They jumped the queue?!)
No love for 3d6? Added together? (Yeah, I started with TFT and played a lot of Champions/Hero system.)
With 1 dice, you get a uniform probability. With 2, you get sort of a degenerate, triangular distribution. With 3, you get a fully formed normal distribution. 10 or less is 50%, 14 or less is about 90%, 3 and 18 are really unlikely, and modifiers are interesting: +1 goes from 26% to nearly 40% or 50% to 62%, or 90% to 95%---it goes from really useful to not that great depending on where you start.
I'll wait to see what Lou says.
:tickedoff:
Just arrived

I really like the idea of having the different nationality dice to pull out for each side of a wargame.

Me too. I've bought several of these Tanks sets - Soviet (hammer and sickle in the 6 place), U.S. (American white star), England (roundel), Japanese (Rising Sun icon), and German (Wehrmacht crosses). These help flesh things out though I still want some d6s for the Italians. I might get their French set too, as well as the US Marine set.
The Soviet and German d6s are awesome with Pavlov's House. I'd been wanting these for The Dark Sands and some of my other games in this area, though those are sparse. The English set will go well with my new (to me) copy of Raid on St. Nazaire. Soooo many applications for these.
I'd love to also score some North and South Civil War d6s, but can't find anything here in the States (gee, go figure).
Amazon, pretty much.
It's both Tanks and Bolt Action d6 dice.

d4's primary purpose is defensive in nature anyway
Ahem.

Very cool. Did you get them all from a specific place or just collected them throughout the years?

Clearly you have never played an arcane spellcaster in D&D, then. 8)

They are all Battle School dice. He designs the dice with certain themes, or just different nationalities. They are very nice, although like most dice they tend to roll boxcars when what I really needed was snake eyes. >:D

I don't want my dice to be flat.
That top one is weirding me out. It's like a möbius strip or something

It's called an "infinity d4"
The round the ends so there's no chance they land on a short side, but then there's only 4 numbered long sides.
There's a bunch of companies making them now
Something between a "standard" die and a coin? You need more than two options but less than 6?
^Its easy, JD - just stand them on a base like a pyramid........... ;D

Did you order direct from the manufacturer? Or did you pick them up at a local store?
