This year’s BGF runs from April 29th (Monday for us War Room attendees) through May 5th (Sunday).

Is anyone here going?

Is anyone interested in playing GMT’s Downfall?  :).  I can teach.  In my experience, the game will take 3-4 days, with reasonable breaks and non-rushed pacing.

Barring that, is anyone interested in a player (me) joining their game?  I will be there Mon-Sun, and am looking for stuff to do.

Barring that, any discussion or advice?

Thanks,
Shawn

Definitely going to be there, but probably just FRI/SAT b/c of work.

I've got some LNLP's Dawn's Early Light on the schedule for FRI and the big Team COIN game on SAT.

I'll play in all sorts of stuff around that as I can, but definitely going to end up with a longer lunch in there somewhere with some of the dudes.

I'll be there, but beyond Monday, I cannot be sure *when*.

Family and work are suddenly piling on what I intended to be an off week!

Buckeye Game Fest 2024
What’s nice about BGF is that it’s a gameplay-focused convention with something on virtually every table, all day long, for all sorts of folks to sit down and play.  Unlike other conventions where I’m working, this one’s nice because I actually get some games in!

I had a good time Mon-Thurs, work intervened and I could only make all day Monday and part-time the other 3. I was able to referee/teach 3 pickup games of Star Fleet Battles (no, really!) that went pretty quickly; 1 game of Traveller, and 1 short game of Normandy '44.

Saturday for me was kinda meh: I arrived late and hadn't scheduled a game with anyone. I did get into Artemis.

I agree with Brant's resolution to get more games onto the formal schedule next year. Unfortunately for me, this convention is usually my #3 for the year, when I can only get vacation for 2. Maybe it'll be better for next year.
