you could contact the fulfillment company (Second Chance Games?) about helping out with the packing/shipping of everyone's orders, provided yours is at the top of the stack?

I will say that using the names of people behind the game as characters in the book kinda kills the immersion for me.

Heres the original post

Quote
I received an email this morning with links to a novel about the actions portrayed in the Kickstarter game we are supposed to get.

I am sure this will get me flamed but frankly I don’t give a tinkers dam about a novel. First of all it’s been done before and likely better by guys like Clancy and Bond. I don’t care about a novel; I won’t read the novel; I won’t keep the novel.

I did not do Kickstarter for a novel. I did it for a game. And do far that has been zippidee do dah. I know...we’ve seen pictures of the game in China; we’ve seen a slow boat from China; we’ve seen maps and pictures of boxes in a Colorado warehouse. But so far no game in hand.

Since the wonderful warehouse pictures there have been no updates. For something that was supposed to be in our hands before Christmas all we have is a book. Oh boy. What joy. So where is the game??    What is the status??

I’m sure I’ll get flamed big time for being a naysayer but I would like what I paid for and have been waiting for months to receive.

What a bunch of bullshit. They've been giving regular updates all along.

And boohoo, they sent links to a novel that is a bennie of the KS. How dare they send me free stuff?!

I don't like waiting any either, but it's what you get with KS (and any other pre-order for that matter).

Sigh. It's a Kickstarter project. Is this person not familiar with how Kickstarter works?  ::)

I will say that using the names of people behind the game as characters in the book kinda kills the immersion for me.

I listened to the audiobook. It was an OK light read. I don't mind the familiar names included, and a lot are from the community not just the company.
Looking forward to the second book.... BUT NOT IF COME BEFORE MY GAME DAMN IT! NO FREE SHIT BEFORE THE STUFF I PAID FOR!!!  :tickedoff:  :idiot2:  :Loser:
