Not sure where the best place is to put this. I imagine if Brant is bored enough, he'll find a place. ;D

So what's the most coin you've dropped on a single game, and what was the game/where did you get it (e.g. Amazon, eBay, etc.)? Board game, I mean - I can't imagine e-games being in the same neighborhood though I know some have hefty price tags too, and I suppose they should therefore fair game for this thread.

For me, I'd have to say $125, for Gloomhaven. Includes taxes and shipping. Next closest would be Uboot The Boardgame...$90 US for that one.

That's about my limit though. I can't imagine spending more than that (well...yeah, I can IMAGINE it, but I can't actually DO it...)

The most expensive game I've ever bought was Ogre Designer's Edition, though for the life of me I can't remember where I got it from or exactly how much it was. $125 maybe? Pretty sure it was a Kickstarter edition with the extra stuff shrink-wrapped to the outside but I didn't get it through the Kickstarter campaign itself, that much I recall.

Depends on how you define "a game."  The most I've spent on an ASL module is about $120.  The amount of money I've spent on the ASL "game" itself is a large, classified number.   :-[

I’ve spent half my life’s earning on wargames, women, and drink. The rest I wasted.

Twilight Imperium, 3rd Edition

IIRC, I dropped $90.00 for the base game, and another $40.00 for the expansion Shattered Empire (and that was on the cheap side).

Not sure exactly how much, but I know it's never been more than $100 for a single game. Probably not more than $80.

The most I've spent on one game is $175.98US. It was for Absolute Victory by (no surprise) Compass Games.

Back in the Eighties, I found a neat little shop that sold all the great games I'd never heard of before. The most I spent there was $60 for Gulf Strike I believe but I could be mistaken. They also had ASL and all the add-ons.  :dreamer:   However, the most I EVER spent on a single game was B-17 Bomber for the Intellivision because while the game wasn't cheap, you also had to buy the Voice Modulator to hear the speech in the game-- something new and wonderful way back then, again in the 80's. Altogether it ran about $110 which I could only barely afford but was worth every penny. That's my  :nerd: cred.

If we're adding video games then I'd have to mention eSim's Steel Beasts- the one with the d... d... d... dongle. $150-ish?

Argh!

Please sir, Stagger said the 'D' word.

I doubt I have ever spent more'n £60 on a game,
