Return to Dark Tower by Restoration Games is a remake of the classic Dark Tower board game from way back when. It's just hit Kickstarter but at $125 and $225 it's way too rich for my blood,

Is this some sort of spin-off from the Stephen King books???

Not sure if you're joking there or not, Bob.

Just in case not, this is the original game to which I refer: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/30/dark-tower

That price point is insane. For that kind of money, I want to be getting a game with some strategy, or at least some interesting choices. Dark Tower ain't it.

Yes - I just threw that in to see what sort of response I would get.

LOL for sure, Bob...

Yeah, I never read those Stephen King books about the Dark Tower or Gunslinger. I did see the movie though (with Idris Elba) and thought it was pretty good. I heard a lot of fans of the book thought the movie was shite, though.

The film was not actually based on the books, or rather, it was set after the end on the books. You would probably need to read the books to understand the connection :-)
