So a few years ago, Paradox bought White Wolf and the World of Darkness games

Now, it seems, there's issues with some of the material the in-house team is producing
https://www.white-wolf.com/newsblog/a-message-from-white-wolf
Depending on how you read it, either the disputed Chechnya material was either (1) too offensive to the Russians, or (2) too offensive to some marginalized communities who felt their real-world issues with the Chechen gov't was being exploited for someone else's entertainment
(probably #2, though (https://www.polygon.com/2018/11/13/18089574/vampire-the-masquerade-white-wolf-lgbtq-chechnya-apology))
Either way, White Wolf is now essentially a brand mgmt office within Paradox, and no one knows if anyone is going to be willing to try to write any new material after this latest Paradox (over)(re)action.

More trouble with Paradox and the vampire franchise

I saw that. It's especially troubling when the head writer (who was also heavily involved in the first game) is let go.
