I have no idea if I'm going to like it...but it was £20. Worth a pint I thought

It's fantastic. North Africa and Normandy are so much fun. I also preordered Stalingrad.

It looked fun I have to say...but I will be playing it solo.

I know there's a solo expansion - Reinforcements - out there but I don't want to use it if I can help it.

Have you played it solo?

I drunk bought North Africa one night,  , and have played a couple of times all solo.
It plays well enough solo but is card based so it does lose something.

It hasn’t really grabbed me. I’ll probably be selling mine.

Hate the artwork so much that I ended up selling my copy.  I found it a bit too light for my tastes and the atrocious art sealed the deal to sell.  Hopefully someone comes out with some alternative artwork for the cards someday.

^ snob  ;D

Actually, as a game, I'm not too bothered with the artwork. It might end up being a bit too light and repetitive for me though.

It was refreshing to be able to read a manual in a single evening. Whilst that doesn't bode well for complexity, complexity can be a double edged sword. As can being too simple. In the middle is ideal for me.

I am very much enjoying Point Blank and absolutely love Fields of Fire - card games are more enjoyable to me than I ever thought they would be. This is described as a Deck Building game - and whilst I'm not particularly sure what that entails or whether I have any other games described as that (I don't think I do), it should be a new experience for me.

I have played it solo. I used One Man and his Meeple's playthrough; this was a couple of years ago before Reinforcements came out. I have Reinforcements but haven't tried it out yet.

I only have Normandy.

I enjoy it for what it is and appreciate the design of a hybrid deckbuilder/wargamer with a maneuver element. I really thought it might bridge a gap for my better half to enjoy a wargame since she loves deckbuilders, but we didn't get past the second scenario.

Yeah and it-(the entire series) has too much 'Card Dependence'/"random draw" element of 'moi' "dislikings"-! What "if" they HAD 'Wooden cubes' instead-? For 'Normandy'-?: "Private Ryan's 'Savings' Die Rolls"-?

What OM&HM did felt like it wasn't to the game's full potential - but that said, it was still a lot of fun. I need to try Reinforcements.
