in stellaris it would be great to have some kind of interstellar inquisition to send to governors and scare their pants off

Agreed, though I'd say that should/would be dependent on your ethics and/or government type.  Authoritarian/militaristic empires are probably more likely to use an inquisition-style organization, while egalitarian/pacifists would employ other methods to check/improve loyalty.  Which would be part of the "fun" IMO.

I only picked up WH3 because I was able to get it 50% off.  No way was I ever going to pay more than that, especially when I'm only interested in two of the game's playable factions (Kislev and Grand Cathay).  Granted, the game does also include numerous improvements & features (that the first two games lack) that interested me as well.

That being said, I'm probably going to take a break from Warhammer III for a bit.  I've been running into numerous issues -- nothing that make the game "unplayable", just annoying stuff -- that I hope to see get fixed and/or addressed at some further point down the line.  And it's not like I don't have this ridiculous backlog of other games I badly want to play in the meantime.  :silly:

Looks pretty cool.  Have you had a chance to sit down and play it yet?

I still have Margaret Thatcher's War on the table right now

It's often nice when an opponent simplifies things for you.  ;)

Terra invicta did a lot of good stuff with loyalty - the actual score was unknown until you investigate your own agent and then if it’s too low you can inspire them with another agent but also be on the lookout for low score loyalty as these are easier to turn and become double agents

in stellaris it would be great to have some kind of interstellar inquisition to send to governors and scare their pants off

I guess it’s worth the money if you are a real c dwarf fan

I always remember them as an add on to WH, cool but no great lore to them until GW decided there was money to be made - same as ogres

Still not getting my buttons pressed by 3 and took the inevitable decision to uninstall 2 and 1 the other day - I think I’m done but that’s the beauty of steam if I want to go back

I still manage to keep my library down to the minimum- the only bad thing about that is there all games I really really want to play

I’m loving workers and resources, ck3, and Terra invicta

I need to restart dw2 - dastactic has hammered out 15 or so good tutorials on combat, different weapons and different races since the last big update

And I really want to take the time to learn to play nebulous fleet command - I keep seeing these awesome updates for it

And Warno

Sigh

Heh.  I already told them what i want for a DLC in a recent survey I filled out.

Give me internal politics:  I want factions to matter more.  I want genuine rebellions and civil wars to be possible.  I want sectors to be able to break away and form their own nations -- possibly because a certain faction (or factions) became dissatisfied with the central government and came to dominate said sector.

I want leaders to be tied into all this as well especially sector governors and admirals.  I want them to have some sort of "loyalty" rating, which can be affected both by events, but you can also do things to raise & lower their loyalty.  Maybe a sector splits off from your empire because of an unhappy and/or ambitious, greedy governor.  Maybe your army and navy splits during a civil war, due to some admirals & generals experiencing mixed loyalties.

I realize this is all a big ask of the developers, but hey, a guy can dream...

Also:  As part of the accompanying free update to this imaginary DLC I'm conjuring, players should be allowed to customize their own sectors again, for Christ's sake.  I'm sick of the internal border-gore.  >:(
