It's only a starter scenario - for combat/movement mechanics. There's no real decisions on leader activations etc

'Kernstown' from Revolution Games. It used the excellent 'Blind Sword' system and covers both the first and second battles.

Halls of Hegra
Legacy of Yu
Borderlands: Mister Torgue's Arena of Badassery

Trying to learn them for the next episode(s) of Solosaurus, but didn't have as much time as I'd hoped this past weekend. Instead I think the next episode will be all about The Hunters: German U-Boats at War, 1939-1943 since it's top of mind due to the other podcast I'm getting ready to deploy.

My family (me, wife, daughter) had a rare opportunity to play an extended game together this weekend, and it had been a long time since we'd played Twilight Imperium-- possibly since before daughter was born, and the game was new (1997, according to the box)? We played about 3 hours on Saturday and the same on Sunday, and I won!

Meanwhile, the longer-running wargame on the basement table is my Weds. night crew learning our way through PQ-17. We've moved through 2 sessions so far, mostly meeting a new player and hashing thru the rules. I'm enjoying it, and we'll likely finish that off this week.

I started Mr. President this weekend.

Mr. President, end of Activation Phase 1

Although my administration came into power with multiple domestic crises, early emphasis on those by my cabinet has quieted that front and left me with an approval rating of 54%.

Due to an energy crisis, the public demands an energy independence bill. My domestic situation is solid, as a bipartisan Congress appears ready to pass bills to make a difference.

While China has been saber-rattling in the Pacific, the energy crisis aligned China more with the US as they sought more energy resources from the West.

World crises seem under control, and then the Russians made a strong play for Eastern Europe.

Spent four days at ASLOK.  Played scenarios from 1936 (Spanish civil war), 1941 (Finns vs Russians), and 1945 (Russians vs Germans), and a partisan scenario set in Yugoslavia (I think - don't remember).  Won 2, lost 2, had a great time.

ASLOK always looks really cool, but I don't play ASL, and would be in well over my head

Hey Trailrunner! Are you coming to town for the Fall Assembly?

I've thought about it.  Looks interesting.  I'd like to join the fun, especially since I may be moving down to the Raleigh Durham area next year and it would be great to meet some locals.  (BTW, how's the ASL scene down there?)  I also have a friend from northern VA that moved down there that I could tag up with.

But I just spent five days at ASLOK, including 11-12 hours of driving.  Probably more limiting is that the week of the Fall Assembly is when we put on a big event at work, and requesting leave would not be in good form.  My current job is pretty flexible, but being onsite that week is just about mandatory.

Actually really good, but they are going to lose one of the bigger local events starting next year b/c the host facility is getting torn down to the studs and renovated.  :-\

Totally understand.  Maybe next year?
