Vol 1 Kickstarter is tempting....I ended up selling my copy.I played it A LOT but honestly, I could not get past some of the issues with the AI. It failed more than it worked imo. I can't remember the details of why it ended up beating me...but I initially took the view "Ach...people are stupid and throw in the confusion of battle and they're probably worse"...but the number of times I was using that excuse just became daft.I'm not 100% sure, but IIRC it was particularly poor on the attack.
It took me a lot of gaming to get to that stage. It was a most excellent game for a long time. I absolutely felt I had my moneys worth.
I thought we got our money's worth by putting them on a shelf and admiring them every once in a while?
