Title: Feedback Request: Encoder - the game of symbols, meaning and communication
Post by: bigfish04 on October 28, 2020, 03:34:11 PM
Hey everyone -  I helped create this game and wanted to get some feedback from the group on it.

Encoder is a game that explores the way we understand and communicate. It is also part of a research project in linguistics and cognition. A separate system, the Semantic Multiplexor (https://www.semanticmultiplexor.com/), crowdsources inputs that are then used in the game itself. Do we build complex meanings from primitives? And do we unpack them the same way? We are trying to figure this out.

The game is called Encoder, you can decode encrypted messages with friends (minimum three players), and it's for desktop only. To play go here: https://encoder.world/ and check out the 'how to' section to learn how to play here: https://encoder.world/help/

The game is currently in beta and still in its research phase, we trying to understand what works and what doesn't. Would love for the community here to help us formulate where its going if interested!

I'd love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks for the support!
