I've now had a chance to put Worthington's 'Shiloh 1862' game on the table and give the first scenario a try. This is the second game in their 'Brigade' series and uses the same base rule set. The scale is identical with that used in the Antietam game, and like that game, the mounted map, 3/4" counters and other components are of a very high standard.

A couple of nice touches is the way that the Union alert rule works, with a 'ripple' of alerted units spreading from the points of first contact.

There is also a rule for Confederate units possibly losing looters when they end a turn on a Union camp counter. There is, however, a chance of recovering some of these stragglers during night turns.

I am very pleased with both games. Doug and I started a Vassal game of Antietam a couple of days ago to try it out. We enjoyed it, but noticed that there are a couple of set-up errors in the Vassal mod that need correcting.
