One of the things I've talked about with Wednesday Night Warfare is to come up with more manageable games for the weeknight fun.
"Blood Bowl 2", easily the best digital version of any GW game that isn't named "Talisman", was something Velker and I wanted to try for a while.
The game, which I thought came across reasonably well, lead to a brief discussion re: having our very own ACD BB League. Just a thought, anyway.

Wished I'd groked to the fact that you guys were playing it earlier. I was checking out Triumph and Glory from LnL for review purposes. Saw your handle pop up playing BB2 but didn't know you were broadcasting 'till I stumbled on it.
Great game, very entertaining, Velker rolled JUST like me vs. AI, so I felt his pain.
We should do a group here. Who else here has BB2 on Steam?

I think you need BB2, because it has a 'create a team' feature. Though that's if Cyrano or anyone can figure out how to actually run a full league.
Otherwise as long as someone else has Chaos Edition, you guys can play a match that way. I have BB: Legendary Edition, BB: Chaos Edition, and BB2. :)

Right BB2 is the way to go here.
I can't believe we won't have a sale very soon on it and it is very well worth the purchase, although only with the "Legendary" edition does one get the cool array of teams.
I shall prepare an ADC league. Don't cost nothin'.

The 'official expansion' has a lot of content too. I see the Team Pack but yeah it's not everything the Legendary version is...I'm guessing the latter has all of the former?
Well, I'll keep an eye on the Legendary edition...I want to be sure I have everything you guys have too once we get into this. I can't justify any more game purchases (blasphemy, I know) for the time being, until this COVID crap passes.

Just to put a coda on this, Velker and I figured out how to create a league.
The Armchair Dragoons league is up in the system and our first competition (a six-team round-robin) is available.
You have to request a ticket to participate -- very nice feature -- so as folks get the game, and as we get closer to 6!, I'll start the competition.
I'll park this until then.

The version I have isn't the Legendary version, but it has about a dozen teams to choose from.

Tried playing a game today just to re-aquaint myself with everything.
Was happy to see the team I created was a possibility to use in a one-off match against an AI opponent, but I chose not to play with them - if I did and any of my players were permanently hurt, would that be reflected in the league too? Or do injuries in those one-off matches count?
I chose to play the Orcland Reavers versus the Albion Wanderers. Glad to see my skill still is terrible as the AI proceeded to be everywhere. They have the same number of players as I do, but it seemed like they had twice the numbers.
I tried to tackle their Big Guy, with a two-dice roll, and my luck continues as I rolled a skull and a skull with a flash symbol. I chose the latter and both were knocked down. Of course, his player was just knocked down, but my Big Guy was dead. I stopped the match at that point. :whistle:

Has anyone been able to find a long-form ruleset for BB2? I found https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/apps/58520 for BB1, but I'm not sure if what's been incorporated from tabletop BB2016. The "guide" posted on the BB2 website is quite lacking.

No hard schedule. Pairings can be seen in your league menu. Players need to come up with a time to meet. One starts a league game and invites his opponent to play. The system handles the rest.

Can you record games from two people elsewhere as a spectator? We didn't know how to invite you to record our match in round one.
I suppose in the worst case scenario, you could watch on Steam over-the-shoulder (with a 10 second video delay?) and record us that way from the viewpoint of one of the players.

Congrats to Adam for winning our game. Good times. I'm just happy I managed to score my first TD, though he did a great job even as my Orcs were putting his players into the hospital. :)

Well, this will be an interesting test. I won 2-1, should have definitely picked up some xps, and Dalinore lost two guys killed -- which is not to rub it in, but he says the dead guys aren't registering at all. (I had one injured for the next game, and according to Dalinore he remembers one of my girls being killed by his ogre, too.)

No, I killed Farmer Tim in our game.
I put down a lot of Adam's team (no kills) but he's a more skilled player than I. His team managed to knock my Orcs on their butts many times, too. He only had four conscious players on the board near the end and almost stopped me from scoring my one touchdown (to his two, LOL).

Well, was out of pocket all day Saturday (including a bunch of multiplayer on Cataclysm board game by the way); sick after work yesterday; had to mow the lawn today and do some other family stuff after work. So no game yet, sorry!

Aren't league and tournament registrations separate? For example, I am registered in the official blood bowl league but I'm not in any of their tournaments at present.
