Thanks once again for having me on the podcast. It was great talking with a couple like minded individuals about games, and warfare. It was nice to be able to vent about some of my pet peeves in gaming such as ridiculously large maps, miniatures in games, and too much detail in some PC, and board games. The wealth of knowledge Brant has about the game industry is truly impressive. Look forward to doing it again.

Regarding the medium discussion from the finale, my favorite is the spoken word (i.e. podcasts).  It's the only format that doesn't take away from the rest of my time.  Videos and articles require dedicated concentration whereas with podcasts I can be doing something else while I get my "wargame buddies and news" fix.  Brant and his rotation of guests keep me entertained while I'm out in the shop making sawdust.  Maybe one day when it's all done I'll take a picture and show what you all helped build.  Thanks for keeping me company  :)

Mentioned in Dispatches Season 6 Episode 3
DICE!

And... after a 5 month pause, I'm back with more MiD listener’s guides, full of goodness related to the podcast.

I think my notes for the listener’s guide will begin to change a wee bit. Season six will be a combo of continuing to provide links to games like I did for season five and assessing and making changes for season six. I create these guides to help me keep track of all the interesting games and other topics discussed. In reflecting on how this went last season, I'm not sure I want to continue providing links to some of the core games that are discussed on many of the podcasts. How many links do we need to Squad Leader and Star Fleet Battles? (bbMike, I know you'd want links to all the SFB info!) However, I'm thinking there is a better way than repeating info over and over and over again...

Because episode three is about dice and not specifically about games, my notes are going to be a wee bit sparse. I'll provide links to the dice when I can; however, I'm not going to let myself get caught up in trying to find links to everything. That will only slow me down. If you all know of links to the dice I don't include, please share them with us.

Some of the links lead directly to dice sold by various websites. I'm not endorsing, or recommending you purchase these dice, it is only to help you see what the dice look like.

Anyway, I'm going to endeavor to get caught up with MiD during the summer and to continue to refine how I do this. As always, if you see anything wrong, let me know and if you think I missed something important, pipe up with your comment.

Finally, a big thank you to RockyMountain Navy Gamer, for giving me permission to use some of the photos from his blog post on this podcast.
