After seeing how many hours you all have wast..., um, I mean, invested in playing the Civ games, I've concluded you all don't sleep. Please share your secret so the rest of us can join the fun.  :notworthy:

It’s those USA starts in 4000 BC or phalanxes vs. tanks that I never liked. But I would like to see ‘Dawg score a weed victory in Civ IV.

So would, Dawg :)

VI has been the easiest one for me to win at.  I've won a dozen games, at least, with different Civs each time.

Lots of maps is a good thing - Panzerde

^Bwahaha I would pay 5.00 for a 'Weed Dawg Victory' with Snoop as your leader or something.

^  Willie Nelson seems a bit more appropriate for MD.  But I agree that would be marvelous.  :hehe:

Dude, I would play a civilization with Willie and I wouldn't care which one   :)

Somewhere, somehow, I woke up in the wrong timeline. I'm pretty sure this isn't even my dimension.

Since this is a family show I won't mention which Willie I was thinking of.

Wondering what everyone thinks now of Civ VII.

I just saw it pop up on Steam now, for wishlisting...it won't be out until 2025.

The cinematic trailer is just rah-rah PR crap and doesn't do any gameplay or any kind of indication of what's in it - then again I did skim it as it annoyed me by not sharing info on...oh, I don't know, the game?  ::) ;D

In any case I loved Civ II also, but I think I'd stick with V, flaws and all. I just can't get good with VI though I occasionally go back to it to try.

Looks like we'll get a look at actual gameplay this August, so that's something at least.

I'm honestly surprised that a weed-infused version is NOT a mod for any Civ games.

Looks like Reddit thinks this is a half-baked idea.  :groovy:

^Hahaha  ;D...I'll still take Snoop or Willie as the in-game avatar for that.

I tried Civ VI again yesterday and still do not like it, I apologize.

It's the cartoony-ness that gets me down.

The new trailer for VII gave a similar impression  :nerd:

If they haven't improved the AI in IV, V, or VI, why would they want us to think they've done that for VII?

I agree. Cinematic release trailers are pretty worthless. I want to see the game.

Similarly, many Kickstarter release videos are big on hype and low on information about the game.

So three ages:
Antiquity
Exploration
Modern

You can change civilizations for each age.

Leaders aren't necessarily civilization-specific.

Rivers are navigable!!!!

No Sean Bean narration.
