I wonder how this compares to the board game? One to watch out for, anyway.
-
Yes, it will be interesting to see how it plays. The board game is a blast! :bigthumb:
-
I'll be watching this one, 4 sho! :bigthumb:
-
Bastages. I own the board game but have lacked time/been too intimidated by its 'legacy' nature to start.
-
..excuses.....
-
It's also got a ton of components to it. It's overwhelming.
Truthfully I'd been secretly hoping my new neighborhood will have some board gamers in it. That way I can just hold on to it until then, perhaps. This new group, I don't know that they'd be interested in something this big/involved.
-
Maybe if such a group does not exist, them perhaps you could start one off?
-
The new community we're moving to does have a Facebook page, and I'd thought several times about reaching out to see if there are any board gamers...but my wife would be highly embarrassed if I did that.
-
There may be others out there with the same problem.................someone has to be the mover!

BC, the rules are horribly written. Read the rulebook carefully and when you play you will have to refer to BGG continuously for clarification. If you have any rules questions feel free to post the here. I think I still learn something new every time I play but I think I've got most of it down now. :D

Thanks bbmike, I'll remember that. How far into it are you, hours-wise? Playing alone or with a group?

Couldn't say hours-wise. I've retired one character and I think we are about 15+ scenarios in. My wife is addicted to it and wants to play as much as possible (it's just the two of us). I've been threatening to start a Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign with her. 8)

Fifteen scenarios is a lot. Especially considering set-up time. I've heard this thing is a monster to break down/set up.

It's not that bad to setup/break down. I think the people who say that are boardgamers that have never played wargames.

Huh, well that's good news. I'd read that in multiple locations. I really can't wait to try it but that's the problem - I really can't wait to try ALL my games. ;D
