$45.99 CDN... not too bad... will be waiting to see how it launches... even if it is spelled incorrectly... :P

Yeah - it sorta looks good- I'm really hoping that it plays well and is engaging.

I think I'll take the plunge. I've got my long time member coupon still so it'll be $36 or so.
EDIT: Unless you try to pay with Paypal. Some dodgy stuff going on there. I got a price of $36.72 Canadian from the Matrix store and hit pay with Paypal. They listed the price as $32.19 USD. Today's exchange rate should have been $28.75 or so. Then they converted it back to CDN$ and it was $43. Cancelled that and tried to pay with credit card but it wouldn't go through.
2nd EDIT: Got it sorted. Installing now.

But it's a 'premium' game!...
SDR, how do you find your coupon, I think I got one of those emails months ago, lol.. but not sure where I dumped the email.

Multiplayer is not a set feature for games even in 2018. The game was designed from day one to be single player. You would have to dumb it down to make it a functional real time game (like Red Dragon and the other European Escalation games). Only other option would be to go Wego with set turns for orders. The game would be unplayable with both players doing pausable real time.

Pay him no mind. He is one of those heretic, anti-solo zealots. ::)

It was still in my email folder.

Yeah, I found it when I searched my yahoo mail.. it doesn't say how much it's for, just says 8 year. I didn't click it back then, because I didn't know if it was a 'time limited' thing.

I accept my minority status on this, but cannot wrap my head around solo-only wargames of any kind.
Were this WEGO MP, jeebus, I’d likely be its prophet.
Too few hours of gaming in the day to play with yourself.
I wanted “Computer Ambush” to be MP for heaven’s sake. And actually sort of figured out a hot seat method of doing it.

Soooo many possible responses to this sentence. (http://www.aarcentral.com/emoti/HideEyes.gif)

I toyed with it a bit last night. Initial impressions aren't great. The top down 2D view really needs to have elevation contours included on the map by default. I'm not sure if there's an easy shortcut for elevation and line of sight as I've only tried it out for 45 minutes or so but having to manually draw line of sight from each unit is tedious.

Just for Cyrano, it would be cool if they did get a MP mode with fixed rounds and a timer for the orders 'phase". They would need to kill in round pause, but the game could remain as is. I think the game would be unplayable with open pausable real time and full orders selection. RTS games have to be binary move-shoot so they can be playable in most cases.
