I must admit, SpaceCorp: 2025-2300 AD is the first game I've seen in a long while that really makes me go "holy crap, that is BEAUTIFUL."

I knew this game has been out a while, but I never took a close look at it. Until today. And man are the components gorgeous. As much of a space nut as I am, I immediately fell in love with this design.

It's highly rated on BGG and lots of praise are being heaped on this one. Furthermore...it's 1-player-friendly, which is huge. The 'bot' that you play against, I've read, is highly challenging yet balanced well.

Sigh. Well, I just got a (small) bonus for last year from work, so hopefully nobody notices the new purchase...LOL. So much for my minis pursuit.

Space Foooorrrce...!

I unboxed it yesterday (didn't have a lot of time but I did look at everything in the box). I was surprised at how small the game boards are. There's three of them, each coinciding with an 'era' of space exploration.

The Mariners era coincides with exploration and colonization of the inner Solar System.

The Planeteers era coincides with the same, but in the outer (outside the Asteroid Belt) Solar System.

The Starfarers era - you guessed it, the same, though involving nearby stars and star systems.

I really like the exploratory part of the game, and how it can grow from 'simple' beginnings to extra-solar colonization. The resources you discover are random which adds another interesting angle to the game, as well as tons of replayability.

You know what's sad is, Russia had a Space Force for quite a long time (and still might, I can't recall). Where were all the jokes about their Space Force? Maybe they all burned up in the atmosphere with MIR. ;D

Oh, God, I sound like bbmike now.

If there is a 'front page' then its logical to assume that there is also a corresponding 'back page'.

Where is it?

“O Lord God, let me not be disgraced in my old days.”

'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers'
