A couple of epic games of one of the most horribly balanced and yet fun games of luck with the kids.... Dungeon!

The game could be so much better if wizards would spend three hours of development time rebalancing the classes, giving the cleric some sort of cleric power...same with the thief. As the perpetual player of the thief (damned you color green!), I’d love to experience a level lower than a nerve racking panic exploration of a couple of level three rooms. Despite its glaring flaws...I still love the game all these years later.

I bought a copy at one of those pop-up mall stores during one of those after-Christmas don't-wanna-take-it-home sales for something like $8 about 3-4 years ago

I paid $10 or so. We played it 5 or 6 times already in the past few weeks. My boys would play every night if they had their way.

I’m breaking out Talisman to play with the older kids this week. There’s something oddly refreshing about playing simple luck based roll and move type games. Probably the lack of deep thinking that appeals to me.

Looks like Sherlock consulting detective.

One player plays as the foil and gets to mess with the detectives.

Sheesh...this hasn't been updated in a while.

I was half way through the rules for Fields or Fire 2 and I decided I wanted to play something familiar. I remembered this game - RAF:The Battle of Britain 1940 by Decision Games.

Why this one? The rules were super easy to follow and understand. I can't remember any time I was left in two minds as to what I should be doing. There's a Sequence of Play ( complete one) in the manual and each sequence has a number for the section in the manual it refers to - and everything you need regarding that particular sequence is there - exactly where it should be.

Last time I played this I played the one day training scenario. This time, I'm going for the full Eagle (German) campaign. It says 14 hours in the manual. I'm thinking it might be on my table for a bit longer than that.

Come on RAF - show me what you've got.

It's a fun game. And very easy to play.

I did an AAR on this, can't recall if it is here or on The Other Site or not. It was a very odd result as I won as the Luftwaffe in a handful of rounds. But yes, the game is brilliant.

Right now I have Warp Gate on my table.

I does look interesting, so it would be nice to have an AAR  :bigthumb:

Ha. I'll think about it. Maybe take you through a day as I'm paying the full campaign

This is a cracking game with fairly light, well written rules that make sense.
