Get your travel plans and/or excuses ready now!

There's a very real possibility that we hit 100 events this year  :bigthumb:

If you're running over 100 events, what else am I going to do at Origins?!

I've already blocked the time off in my work calendar. Trying to figure out who is definitely going up with me so I can figure out the logistics of finding the best Airbnb.

Now, let's just hope they don't screw up the registration system again.

I just wish they'd give the option of mailing badges out. The year Windows forced an update on them and the line ended up going down the sidewalk on the east side of the convention center, I was able to walk right in and start doing things. This year, I missed an event because of whatever problem occurred. I suggested this in the feedback survey they sent out (also told them the Dragoons need more room).

Anyhow, I'm already looking forward to next year's events!

And....I missed the hotel block opening again this year.  :censored:

The Airbnb that I rented out with a few other people came out to roughly $100 for the convention. Sure, I had to Uber or pay for parking, but it was so much cheaper I think it was worth it.

MONSTER list of events for the Wargame HQ this year.  We've got well over 100 events between our games + the talks we're sponsoring in the War College, but even there, we've got almost 100 events *just* in the games.
Empire of the Sun
Brazen Chariots
We Are Coming Nineveh
Normandy '44
Space Empires 4x
Maneuver Warfare
Air & Armor
NATO: Cold War Goes Hot
Halls of Montezuma
SADR City
Crisis Korea
Shores of Tripoli
3 CPX's
2 Kriegsspiels
2 full-weekend minis tables: 15mm Quatre Bras & PicoArmor PanzerBlitz
. . . . and a handful of pre-press stuff on both the Eastern Front and in the Med

Put me down for Normandy '44 - one of my all-time favourite games.  ;)

if you're interested in coming to Origins, we have at least 2, maybe 3, media/production slots we're looking to fill.  There will be some time to goof off and be a tourist for sure, but there are a couple of pretty specific jobs we need to get done while we're there.  🎥 🎞️ ✍️

We can get you a media badge, but are not in a position to help with transportation/lodging.  Not ideal, for sure, but that's just where we are right now  :-\

PM me if you're interested.  I wanted to offer this here first before I start reaching outside the Dragoons stables.

Hey folks -

we're looking to augment the GM crew slightly, if there's anyone out there who is interested in working with us this Summer, and is able to teach
– Downfall
– any of the Levy & Campaign series
– Twilight Struggle: Red Sea

If you're able / interested, ping me  :)

More than 100 events... Am I ever going to not be in the ACD booth?!

AirBNB has been reserved. And I just became $15 sad when I realized early-bird sales ended last month.

See you in about 3 months!

Getting closer every day. I saw that a lot of the ACD seminars have been added to tabletop events. While I know events are supposed to go live in May, just curious if you've got a list of what's coming so I can start planning.

Well, definitely want to get in Normandy '44, SE4X, TSRE, Night Witches, Distant Plain, and Hunt for Blackbeard... Been curious about Nevsky, so likely going to try to get that in too. Rest, I'm going to need to look into a bit.

Great selection, as always!

OK folks, I got notice overnight that our game events for Origins 2024 have been approved, so they're now in the publicly-viewable schedule
