(I'm opening up threads for pretty much all the games I've gotten recently)


No, it's not a Root expansion

it's about the early founding of California and the different factions trying to take control of the state before it was a state

It's kind of cool to play a game about a bunch of places you've been, and in the US that's usually just ACW/AWI games and an occasional War of 1812 something-or-other.

Anyone got any thoughts here?

That does look good. I don't like the paper map but that's my only quibble.

I did pick up a copy of Bleeding Kansas recently, and I've been to several places there so it was a good acquisition for me. Good game, too. I do like these focused slices of history and do want to hear what you think of Bear Flag Republic.
