Hi All!
I gather most PC gamers today are aware of the platform called Steam. As much as there can be found on Steam, I'm still curious what alternatives can be found.
I'm mostly interrested in strategy games of the "old-school"-type. I can atleast put up the following to the list:
HPS Simulations
https://www.hpssims.com/
John Tiller Software
https://johntillersoftware.com/
Battlefront (Although one of their latest game is listed on Steam)
https://www.battlefront.com/
Storm Eagle Studios
https://store.stormeaglestudios.com/home
Any other finds you may recommend checking out?
Edit: Spelling and stuff

You might consider Matrix Games (https://www.matrixgames.com/). Some of their games are available on Steam and many are not. You can also find some of the older titles, like the first generation Combat Mission games at Good Old Games, better known as GOG.com (https://www.gog.com/).

Thanks for the tips!
The amount of old games, supposedly running on Windows 10, is pure gold! Already found several games that I used to play several computers (and operating systems) ago. My wallet is not going to enjoy the amount of nostalgia.

If you can wait about three + months, most of those online stores will have their holiday sales and many of the games you are interested in will be available for a substantial discount. That way you and your wallet can both be happy. :)

Matrix and GOG are my go-to gaming sites. I will get something off Steam if I can't find it elsewhere. I am not a big fan of their DRM.
I also have several titles from HPS and JTS.
Thanks for the links. I will have to check out some of those other sites. I have not visited battlefront in a long time.
