Following along with on this one BB. It looks pretty complex, but fun. I'd ask the Dealer for a new Attackers dice, that thing rolls LOW.   How long is each turn in game time?

Yeah, it seem quite good, although I'm not generally a fan of strategic level games.

The first 6 turns are roughly 6 months each and the remaining turns are about 3 months each. Yeah, sometimes the dice are suspect, but not as suspect at the dice in Vassal.

I do like strategic levels games, especially when they are of manageable size.  8)

So, am I wrong or did the Axis get nothing for taking Canton? Other than an enemy army gone I suppose.

They do get the resource located there. It also puts the Japanese one Land Area closer to CBI theater victory points.

I didn't see a Resource there but afterward it did occur to me it would help close-out the sea areas the Japanese need.

I almost bought this a while ago in my exchange with Noble Knight, but refrained as it looked like it had way too much of a table presence. I'd love to have a decent strategic level game like this, thanks mainly to your videos.

Great Videos... Thanks for the work and looking forward to more.

I have a question as to what program your using. I'm new to this (see name), and loaded VASSAL with the Blitz game module. It's pretty cool, but not as cool as what I'm seeing in your video. Is it something you created on your own or is it another bit of software. I tried the other 2 recommended programs (Tabletopia, Tabletop Simulator), and neither seem to even have Blitz available.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Randy

Welcome to the site, Randy!
I used Tabletop Simulator. There is an existing Blitz! mod that I edited for my own use. Mostly I just moved the bits to make it more solo friendly.
You can find it here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1106909901#:~:text=from%20BGG%3A%20%22Blitz!,N%20Africa%2C%20Pacific%2C%20E. (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1106909901#:~:text=from%20BGG%3A%20%22Blitz!,N%20Africa%2C%20Pacific%2C%20E.)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the welcome all. Excited to try it out bbmike, and thx again for steering me in the right direction.

Which game engine is used most for wargames online? VASSAL or Tabletop Simulator? Want to play a few and then try my hand at the ACDC in June.

TTS has become very popular recently, thanks to a lot of games organised by Cyrano (Jim) especially for 'mini's'. Vassal is still a decent platform for board wargames though.

I didn't want to get a copy of this as it has too large a footprint, but ended up trading for one. TTS is much more attractive considering it's table footprint.

BBMike, are you going to do more videos?

Pretty much this. Vassal is still probably the most recognized/used in the wargame world but I think that is changing as TTS becomes more popular.

I hope to circle back to Blitz! (and Napoleon's Last Battles) at some point. It seems like a very good game.  :bigthumb:
