The new edition of Savage Worlds, Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/545820095/savage-worlds-adventure-edition?ref=email), is on Kickstarter. 28 days to go and $184K of $15K needed. I think they might make it!

See, I might have to just pledge the minimum, and then add on the accessories, like the tokens & decks of cards.
I don't mind the updated rulebook, but I don't need the gold-foil-edged, alligator-hide-bound, soy-ink, cruelty-free paper archival deluxe limited mega super exclusive ultimate edition book.
Just give me a playable paperback and all the toys to go with it, and I'm good.

That's the approach I took. :bigthumb:

I'm certain I'll end up adding more goodies to this at some point. :bigthumb:

I really wish I had the spare change to dunk into it. It's got all the kinds of toys & trinkets I"d want, but let's be honest, don't get near enough time to play them....

The PDF has dropped for Kickstarter backers! Looks like I have 210 pages of goodness to look through.
-
Two hundred pages?
Try well over 1,000.
They threw a TON of older stuff into the free .pdf. I have a lot of it, but it's nice to have an electronic version. Particularly pleased to get the "Hell on Earth: Reloaded" stuff.
As for the new rules, the "free" skill package is brilliant. I am angry at myself for not figuring it out as it always bothered me that those who didn't, for example, pay for "Notice" could only try at a 1d4/2 (if memory serves).

True, I was shocked at all of the other PDFs that were there. 8)

You guys are going to make me hate myself for not backing this thing aren't you?

No, no, no...
Just pointing out its remarkable value-for-dollar...
Oh, yeah, right...
Nevermind.
Uh, yeah, it SUCKS. Really sucks. Probably wouldn't want "Deadlands: Noir" either...

I was never a big fan of Deadlands. Not at mechanics issue, mind you, I just don't enjoy the Wild West as an RPG environment. I played the old Boot Hill, too, so it's not like I didn't try along the way. Just not my cup of tea.

Noir is Roaring 20s, but, yeah, in the fiction.
