If you think The Hunters is brutal...you need to try The Hunted. It fills in the remainder of the war from '43 onward (wherever The Hunters leaves off). Surviving a game of The Hunted is a truly rare experience.

It would normally, but the guy I do the podcast with is not a wargamer. He's reviewed By Stealth and Sea with me, and he has copies of Castle Itter and Pavlov's House now, but other than that he's not too deep into it. And FoF is definitely the deep end.

Indeed, as Bob says. A guy named Martin, who is a staple in the various solo gaming Facebook groups, and I both took over hosting duties from this podcast last year. We've since recorded and distributed the last eight episodes. We have a ninth but I've not had time to produce it yet (I do all the production side and Martin takes care of keeping the lights on, so to speak). Both Martin and I as well as the previous hosts were all on Episode 68 where we discussed Mage Knight (I discussed Star Trek Frontiers, which is MK in a ST wrapper).

Give us a listen, see what you think. There's been more than a few strategy games in there, though nothing heavy.

Having had a good read of the downloaded rules over the last few day to get familiar with the system, I was able to jump in tonight and have a couple of playthroughs of the first scenario. All-in-all, not bad at all  :bigthumb:
