interesting article about the different narratives of what happened in a border battle back in 2014.

Beyond that though, the lessons learned by each of the different sides analyzing the battle have had longer reaching implications, including effects on US doctrine

Looking back on this article with the benefit of 6+ months of current Russian ops in Ukraine, I think we can all throw the US/Western account of the battle described in this article deep into the shitcan

This new war however is unlike anything we've ever seen before but, I think one could say that about any war.
