I'm so excited for this one to be available for purchase. I did not preorder which I should have but unfortunately life reality got in the way.

I also missed out on ASL Rising Sun, so this will be my first opportunity to play a game with Japanese units. I really want to just order a banzai charge.

I pre-ordered and my copy arrived last week.  I haven't had a chance to take the shrink off of it yet, though.

I’ve spent half my life’s earning on wargames, women, and drink. The rest I wasted.

Oh man! That's awesome. I just packed up for King and Country, which is my current clipping project, for a move.

Call Scott back at GA.  If he doesn't have a copy, he'll find you one :)

Well I finally have my copy coming along with Expansion Pack 2. Looking forward to some pacific battles.

Someday they’ll reprint rising sun and I’ll be able to add that to my full ASL collection.

PTO is odd - it's the same game, yet different.  You will have to adjust your ETO tactics.

The expansion packs and magazines (such as Special Ops) have some good, new scenarios.  I've played Retaking Vierville and War of Rats enough times now and only play them against newbies,, but the newer scenarios are a nice change.

I’m interested in the Banzai and hidden unit rules as applied to the starter kit rules. Part of me is not overly excited to add rules to a relatively streamlined ASL game but it does not seem to add too much since the total rule set is around 32 pages or so.

Concealment is a major part of ASL, so it was good when they added it to SK4.  It's one of those things I was talking about that changes the game when played in PTO.  Once you get the hang of it, it's not too hard.

I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been happy so far with the SK rules implementation. While I’ve enjoyed games of full ASL, the SK scenarios I’ve played have just been a more clean and quicker pace gaming experience. It’s also a lot easier to learn and teach for someone like me who is familiar with both games but by no means an expert with the rules.
