Larry Correia designed a minis skirmish game based on his series of novels, Monster Hunter International.  Larry's an avid minis painter and gamer as well as an author.   Not backing this one myself but others might be interested.

I read the first one. I'd be very disappointed if the game doesn't include very detailed stats about all the weapons and ammunition.

They have already had lots of comments on th price. Their official line is that the cost of everything, paper, shipping, manufacturing etc, has gone up by significant amounts over the past 2 years since the last one.
Gonna be hard to stretch for it… but hard not to jump in as it’s a great system.

honestly, given the rates that some of the prices have gone up over the past 2 years, I really think this one is perfectly reasonable.
