But the next option was only 5% more. Early Bird was 30% off, whereas Main Strike was 25% off. Really only $10 in it.

I like the system. I know it's not quite the deal that was the original - but I'd have picked this up anyway so I might as well get a discount

If I were to get it, it'd only be due to my completionist nature.  My copy of base game hasn't seen much play.  Many of the pre-pandemic FLGS game nights I attended are no more and the guys in my regular gaming group don't really care for the game.  The wargame guys in the group find it a bit too light and the non-wargaming guys find it too long.  Go figure.  Given the limited time to game, I find that I'd much rather play other titles in my library so, on the shelf it sits and gathers dust.

I see your point.

I'll be honest - mine hasn't seen the light of day much so I guess I'm buying it out of "completeness".

However, it's not seen much daylight due to time rather than not enjoying the system...so I'm sure in my twilight years I'll have much fun. And I do like games sharing a rule set - it expands your game as well as keeping it easy to learn.

That brings me to a question - which I'll post in Symposia

Ugh! All stretch goals for Blood & Fury now unlocked. Lots of cool stuff.
If I go for base pledge plus the expansion 8 map scenarios the total comes to $195 CAD. Then shipping on top of that!  :o
Pretty much twice as expensive as the first one.
But soooo cooool!   :idiot2:
