Well this completely snuck past me: they released a new update (v1.058)...

Quote
Along with the re-launch of the updated Gary Grigsby's World at War: A World Divided today, we are also pleased to release a new v1.058 comprehensive update, which will bring all existing owners up to the latest re-mastered release version.

The key changes since the last public update are the replacement of the multiplayer system with the new PBEM++ used in many of our other current games, including support for more than two players in PBEM++ games as well as the addition of support for modern operating systems and higher resolutions, up to and including 4k.

This update also includes some additional minor bug fixes related to multiplayer games.

I'd completely forgotten they'd been working on a remastered version.  Might be time to reinstall this one.

Bit of a blast from the past.

It’s a fun game. I had some time in the beta and had a blast playing against some of the developers.
I, too, should dig up my copy and reinstall it to try the patch.

If anyone wants to try an MP game let me know.

That's the game without an AI, isn't it??? Or am I thinking of something else?

Somewhere, somehow, I woke up in the wrong timeline. I'm pretty sure this isn't even my dimension.

No, there is an AI. It's pretty good too because there are not many rules to the game.

Cool, thanks for clarifying that for me, Barthheart.

Oh no - not that one - the massive game they just decided to drop the AI on after years in development

I think JD bought it

Pretty sure I was thinking of World in Flames. So many monster wargames   :notworthy:

I wrote the manual to the original back in the day. Glad to see it's still alive.
