Picked this up for a song recently. Fun little solo game where you control the US/ARVN side and the system controls the Reds.
The goal is to hang on to the The Say Fire Base, Lang Be, and the Rock Quarry, at minimum. Other minor VP bonuses are given for occupying other spaces.
This pic is from my first game; it was quite the slaughter as many Red units fell to Marine guns and air strikes. I'd built up the Rick Quarry after the Commies overran Hill 861, and barely won a massive fight there. Tons of dead Red units but the system constantly brings them back into the game, in drive and drabs.
It's a balancing act, as the cards you choose to play are balanced by a game turn cost. Initially, the Game Turn marker starts in the 9 space, and the card you choose to play has an intrinsic game turn cost, reducing the number of turns. The Commies can sweep through and mess up plans easily, though. It's a nice, light, solo game.
