Title: Musket and Pike campaigns
Post by: bob48 on November 24, 2018, 04:53:20 PM
Playing the Fleurus scenario with panzerde at the moment - I'd forgotten what a great game this is;

he'll no doubt wipe the floor with me, as usual!  ;)

It is a great game. You didn't do too badly, you just have to get more familiar with the tactics of the period and what troop types do what.

The more I learn about the period the game covers, the more I like it. It's like having 2mm minis without having to paint.

Yep, I need to get a better handle on the units if I'm to stand a chance against a seasoned campaigner such as your good self, you old warhorse, you  ;)

You need a hat. You don't have an outrageous hat.

I have an outrageous head, and a disreputable pair of trousers, does that count?

Now that we have a reliable means of playing live MP over the internets, even for games without matchmaking servers, this is even more painfully obvious to me. I REALLY wanted to srt up streaming for the game Bob and I played the other night but the current asynchronous MP system makes doing that impossible.

I was sufficiently angered that I felt the need to defenestrate the Emperor's representatives in Prague.

That never gets old.

It really doesn't, and I'm not even a big metal fan.
