The miniatures crew needs the weekend off it would seem, so the Abu Klea re-match will wait a bit.
This, and the IMMINENT release (I don't know just when, but, trust me, IMMINENT) of JTS: Campaign Eylau provides Doug (PanzerDe) and myself the opportunity for a pair of Napoleonic refights.
The first will be our third go at the Battle of Saalfeld (10 October 1806). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Saalfeld
I have never beaten Doug at this fool thing. Third time pays for all.
As we've done in the past, we'll have TWO, count em TWO live streams up, each depicting our separate view of the battle.
See you all there...I hope...

I'm not slacking by the by... I'm traveling for business very early Sunday morning and need my sleep to cope with the "fun" of modern air travel... :P

You make Burnaby cry.
He heard of your imprecations and wanted to give you a sporting second go.
But no.

...imprecations …
Hmmm... a fine word for "gnashing of teeth at a wildly unbalanced scenario because the host read it incorrectly."

You say “tomato”...

I do, however, wish to have another go at it. My comrade Velker and I should have a fighting chance with the actual rules in play.... :bigthumb:

I wouldn't be able to make it either, most likely. Girls basketball tournament game then, provided they win tonight.
-
That was a lot of fun! Next weekend if I can make it, will be last one for awhile. Getting my 'other' knee done on the 15th. Will be awhile before I can sit at the gaming computer for awhile.
-
how long you gonna be out Tuna?
-
I probably won't touch a game for two or 3 weeks (just will have no interest, maybe the oxy does that). Then after that won't be able to sit at gaming PC for long periods of time (gets sore to have the knee in one position like that).
Maybe TTS runs well enough on my laptop.
I'm just basing this on my experience with my first knee last year.
-
Good luck on the knee.
You can always follow the youtube stream or just jump into TTS as a spectator.
-
AH CRAP!!! Tuna, we need are artillery support. You cannot miss!!!
-
I think TTS will run on my laptop, so after couple weeks.
I'm gonna miss flying in IL2 the most, I'm sure rudder pedals will take the longest!
But if it goes like my left knee went, it's well worth it!
-
(Note to self, fly a lot with Tuna this weekend...)
I might be available Saturday night -- no plans! Last Saturday I just overexhausted myself before the promised time. :waah:
If there's a third person, we could play Churchill! I've got some experience and could demonstrate it. The TTS module is quite nice.

That was a weird one.
One of the highest on-line counts we've had. Nearly (if we didn't) cracked double digits!
Thanks for everyone that showed 'round.
