Someone is selling it on BGG for £100. #verytemtped :2funny:
-
That's a decent price for it.

I now have a dilemma.
I've just made £150 selling some games (don't ask). I can either get Where There Is Discord - a game I have wanted for many years - or do I carry on my addiction with LnL and get LnL Heroes of the Nam?
Anyone who says "Get both" instantly gets a brownie point
-
What condition is Discord listed as? You may not see it at that price again ever.
-
Well...that's that sorted. Where There Is Discord has gone. The next cheapest is $150 from the US or €175 fromGermany. I ain't paying that.
OH...OH.....Combat! ;D
Man - I have some videos to watch. £140 for a game with 14 scenarios and 4 maps - and they're not even mounted! I'm in a real pickle because this is that single man counter game I really was trying to find - but £140!!!
The videos I watch better be good. Does anyone have any scoop on the word out there? It's got 8.9 at BGG...seems a pretty decent rating - though some of them seem to be people who perhaps haven't played it (no description on their 10 or 9 review??)
I think I'm going to get it - wish me luck. If she ever finds out I spent £140 on a board game, she'll leave me for sure!
-
I've gone and ordered Combat! from by Compass Games from Zatu Games in Norwich, Norfolk, England. It was a few quid cheaper so I basically got free postage.
-
It looks very impressive.
-
I can't wait to get those counter out and trim those corners. :2funny:
-
:nope:
-
Is there not a thread here where we post pictures of rounding counters, just for Barth? Sort of like the pun thread for MD?
-
It takes a sick mind to think of something like that.
..I love it :bigthumb:
-
This guy has 8 videos on playing.
I'll be honest - I'm not sure what I think. It may be because it's being "explained"...but the reviews I read about gameplay were excellent - so I'm keen to give it a go and hopefully it's the "sterile" videos (and I don't mean that in a bad way - they are very informative) that make it seem like odd mechanics.
Anyway - keep an eye on eBay - if this doesn't grab me, it could be up on eBay soon

Is anyone else amused by the fact that in less than 24 hours JD went from "Man, that's expensive." to "Well, it's on the way!"? ;D
It's like having a second BC on the forums. :2funny:

I know.
It IS very expensive but it IS the kind of game I had been trying to find for some time. A solitaire game with single man counters was what I was looking for and this fitted the bill (as did Ambush but it was old looking).
I sold some stuff to be able to afford it (sorry bob - but Price of Honour was one of those).

It does look pretty interesting, but I just don't know if I can throw down that much cash. I could literally buy 3 other games for that.
Let us know how it goes for you, though. And then I'll add it to my wishlist, buy it, and hate myself.
