Got my box delivered a few weeks back. Seems like a suitable system to run as Play by Forum. Any interest from the denizens here to try and whip something up to play here on the forum?

I would be happy to play here on the forum or over Discord, understanding that free time/free schedule is very limited.

Sorry for the late reply, but with the four of us we could definitely get started. Do you guys all have access to the rulebook?

It will be a first for me to run an RPG via a forum, so its a good idea to discuss some rules and etiquette as well as general tips on how to tackle this, if people do have experience.

To start with the basic tool; how do we want to handle dicerolling?

Hit the die in the toolbar above to create the {roll} tags and then put the dice you want to roll in between them

Ah yes, excellent! Do thats taken care of.

Now, perhaps its a good idea to start with a simple skirmish scenario to get used to the way the game works, before we start our narrative in earnest.

Aiming for a target, using cover and conserving ammunition are important parts of gameplay. I’ve got no hands on experience yet, but I have listened to a very interesting podcast where they explained combat in T2000 is fairly realistic and not about DnD style wack a mole combat, but about preparation, tactics and sensible use of weaponry.
Having this in mind I feel we should test run a few combat encounters to get a feel of how the game works.

It might also be a good idea to make custom chars for this , which might or might not be used in our campaign. Getting a feel for options here will be beneficial for later too, I reckon.

which version of T2K were they talking about?  The original GDW one from 1984, or the new one from Free League?
