I spent 1 1/2 hours climbing stadium stairs yesterday in commemoration of 9-11. We paused at key times as the PA announced key events in the timeline, and the names of all of those killed that day scrolled on the big boards.

There were fire fighters there doing the same in their full gear.

As someone who has tried to not commemorate 9/11 over the past few years, wanting to put it into an historical perspective, this was a very moving event. (And my calves are killing me after two laps of the stadium - 20 climbs, over 1400 stadium rows.)
