Just curious which solo-able game you guys would like to see reviewed/AAR'd in the future...
For more info:
Picket Duty: Kamikaze Attacks against U.S. Destroyers – Okinawa, 1945 (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/44890/picket-duty-kamikaze-attacks-against-us-destroyers)
Operations Olympic & Coronet (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/120509/operations-olympic-coronet)
I had a copy of Picket Duty that I gave away last year (it was a review copy for a review I wrote over at GH), but the 2nd edition (out now) is supposed to alleviate some of the issues I had with the game. The subject matter of commanding a Fletcher-class destroyer off of Okinawa and fending off hordes of Kamikaze attacks is pretty interesting and I was sorry to have given away the game to be honest. It would have made great AAR material, especially when assigning forum goons to each role to see if they 'survive.''
Operation Olympic & Coronet is an interesting one. Like Picket Duty, it's solitaire, with the player controlling U.S. forces as they invade Kyushu (Operation Olympic), and then invade Honshu near Tokyo (Operation Coronet). It's my understanding the game is heavily weighted towards the U.S. as the idea is the U.S. would almost certainly have won such an invasion, though the losses would have been substantial (on both sides). I've not played this one but it looks like it might make for a great narrative, too, on a 'what if' scenario that (thankfully) never went down.

Space Corps.

I'd be interested in Olympic&Coronet. Definitely one of the biggest 'what-if's' of WaWaToo.

Space Corps.
LOL
I'm currently writing up Part 17 for SpaceCorps. Brant has Parts 1-15 right now. Don't you worry, that one's getting finished.
Just thinking of future work is all.

As to the other selections ... neither really interest me. Picket Duty seems.... dull... to me... I’ve never understood the draw...
The other is a Pacific ground war title and that whole aspect of WWII never grabbed my interest....
:dunno:

Fair enough. Feedback like that helps a lot, too.
I imagine I'll be asking more questions like this moving forward.

based on your review of Picket Duty, uh... somewhere else (yeah, go with that), it doesn't sound that interesting to me. It's just a tower defense game with multiple damage locations, but didn't seem that engaging, so I'll go with something else.

This is what I was thinking, but I guess I got over-excited re-reading several posts covering the 2nd Edition 'upgrade' of the game.
I should probably do Corsair Leader next, to be honest. It would take a few weeks for Olympic/Coronet to arrive should I choose to pull the trigger on it - it's not Prime and what sucks is they charge shipping for it. :(

The only thing holding me back is the fact that I'm traveling next week and we need to pay income tax, which f*cking sucks ass.
