Stardock has a big sale on Steam this weekend as well.  Dang near all of their games are 50% off or better.

The Deadly Woods is also outstanding (I have it on my table right now), but it is not on sale, I don't think.

I did quite like the look of that.

I would heartily recommend Celles as it is a smaller slice of the Bulge campaign, with low counter density and some fun mechanics.

Deadly Woods incorporates some of these mechanics, and while larger scale, it's not at all overwhelming, and has a relatively small footprint.

Out of all those, Pacific Fury, Poland Defiant, Last Battle: Ie Shima 1945, and The Siege of Orgun all look good to me...and are very cheap.

This is an issue as I've been eyeing a couple of Hollandspiele titles lately...lol.

I've just picked up a copy of The Deadly Woods recently - along with The Dark Summer

I've been looking at The Dark Summer for a while, but picked up France 1944 instead.

I've always been a bit wary of one map Bulge games.

What are your feelings on one bulge game maps?

I think its the scale. I guess that most bulge games I've played over the years have been 2 to 4 maps, such as WaR, Ardennes '44, Bitter Woods and a bit of 'Last Blitzkrieg', so unit size tends to be company/battalion/regimental scale and I think that works well for this particular battle. My feeling is that the unit and ground scale I tend to associate with single map games (divisional) is insufficiently detailed.

Obviously, this means that more room is required and usually a greater degree of complexity and thus time investment.

I would welcome a single map game on the subject that doesn't feel too 'crowded'.

I could really use me some one map game bulges right now.

Take a look at either Celles or The Deadly Woods.

I'd been looking at Time for Trumpets but that's just too much - battalion level, four huge maps. I much prefer a more manageable outing.  ;)
