This seems pretty cool, if ambitious:
Starting this autumn, the Kings and Generals channel is planning to release weekly videos tracking the progress of WW2's Pacific theater (1941-1945). I'm guessing they're not the first channel to do this, but it'll still be interesting to see how they pull it off.

Cool, thanks for pointing this out! Now be sure to remind me when it starts. 8)

Well I'm subscribed to their channel, so I'll be sure to post the first video here. ;)

Here we go! :D
It's worth noting there are several "prelude" videos prior to this one: They cover not only Japan's invasion of China, but also earlier topics such as the Meiji Restoration, and even an overview of European colonialism in Asia. It's good stuff, especially for anyone not familiar with the material.
That being said, I couldn't imagine starting anywhere other than the Pearl Harbor attack.

Episode #2: Japanese invasion of Singapore & Malaya.

Thanks for the reminder! :bigthumb:

You're welcome! I'm glad to see them covering some of the lesser-known battles & campaigns (in addition to the "big" ones).

Episode #3: Japan launches multiple invasions against Allied possessions.
-
Episode #4: Japan invades Borneo, southern Philippines, presses its attack down the Malayan peninsula.
-
Episode #5: Japan's offensive in the Philippines swings into full gear, Hong Kong and Wake Island both fall.
