Also, this is listed on the store page as one of the more helpful reviews.  I'd be curious if others here share this persons opinion.

Quote
Review after the first playthrough of a Game from a player with 1000 hours in Civilization 5&6:

The the first 50 rounds felt like the best part of the game. Its really cool to run around as a tribe and settle your first cities. Its also the part, where microing felt really neccesary. Unlike you do in Civ, in Humankind you dont have builers. You build all your modernisations in your city centers. This means with a huge construction base, you get improe your empire really fast.

The misspellings and word destruction in reviews on any given Steam page usually give me too much of a headache to dive too deeply into them.

I pulled the trigger last night on this after finding it on sale on Fanatical.

I only had time to play it a bit last night, but I like what I see. I'm going to enjoy figuring things out - I'd rather play to learn than watch a bunch of videos. I'll do the latter if I get stuck trying to figure something out.

I downloaded the demo (kudos to Amplitude/Sega for doing that).  I'm planning to take a crack at it when I get back next week.

Yeah, I'm going to be lucky to be able to spend any time with it over the holidays, unfortunately. :(

And painting the minis. Don't forget that!

Got a kid with COVID, so a lot more time than normal. I'm really liking the game on my 3rd attempt.

She was down for a couple days, even with the shot. But now, now she's just milking it to get out of work. IMHO.

Apparently there's a fairly major problem with the "Día de los Muertos" event that dropped alongside the Fabius Maximus update earlier this month.  Sounds like Amplitude screwed up pretty badly, and a lot of folks are upset:

Question on cities and outposts. In the early game, us it better to get two cities early or one city with one or more attached outposts?

Looking at a couple of different articles on the build city/attach thoughts.  It seems like two maybe three attachments is the sweetspot.  It makes some sense.  In order for Outposts to build improvements, they require influence, a city uses industry.  The downside though, is that a city can have a single build queue.  So at some point, you want a second city just to have the additional build queue.
