FWIW, the Connections UK 2018 conference was structured along the same lines as the guide, unsurprising given the drafters of the guide are core figures in the Connections UK world. I viewed alot of this as "for additional reading" when thinking about the guide.

Also, Graham Longley-Brown's Successful Professional Wargames: A Practitioners Handbook was delayed as they re-tacked to the guide...but it in some ways can also be viewed as a sibling of the MODUK document.
