WITE2 is coming to Steam December 9.  I'm curious if Slitherine will list it for the same price ($79.99) as on their store.

50% off WitE2 during the Matrix Holiday sale, which runs until 9 Jan 22.

Not sure I played the original enough to warrant the upgrade (still costing $54CDN at 1/2 price). Will have to do some digging to see if it's worth the investment (including time).

The only reason I would get this is if I knew I had others to play against.

Here at ACD, we all pee the same color.

I broke down and bought it once I realized my anniversary code still worked (thought they were only good for a couple of months). I'm not one to collect games that I do not expect to play...but at $25US for a Gary Grigsby title, it is hard to go wrong.

Now all I need is to find an audio book version of this (520 page!) manual.

I'd be open to some PBEM play of the smaller scenarios. I played some of them with version 1.0 so shouldn't take too long to get up and running with the basics.

Nice screeshot, Rekin:bigthumb:  Let us know how it goes!

Incidentally, I see the game is back to its regular price now.  I'm guessing it was an error(?).

It seems so. The day after I purchased it it was back to the regular price. I saw comments stating that it was put on sale by mistake.

A nice little article talking about the game coming to Steam.  (I still salivate when I see that humongous manual; it's almost a Pavlovian response at this point.)

Yeah, that's what I figured.  Kinda wish I'd grabbed while I had the chance.  :-\

It'll be interesting to see how well (or not) an $80.00(USD) wargame sells on Steam.

It appears to be going for less than $80 on Steam. Price for me is CDN$91.99. Guessing that works out to $70USD

I wish I had had time to do a full-on review of this game, but it would require far too many hours that I just didn't/don't have, to do it justice.

The game is like a Magnum Opus to Eastern Front warfare.
