Yes she is. A 48th scale P-61 Revel model was one of the many planes hanging from my childhood bedroom ceiling.

That dreadful sound from my boyhood of one or more suspended aircraft hitting the floor at 2.30am.

Same here. My bedroom "skies" were patrolled by some of aviation's finest while the Bismarck, Yamato, Arizona, Enterprise and a number of scrappy warships kept my bookshelves safe.

Somewhere, somehow, I woke up in the wrong timeline. I'm pretty sure this isn't even my dimension.

I did tanks. With a few BB's and aircraft thrown-in for good measure. But mostly, tanks. Lots of tanks.

Yep, tanks for me as well. At one point I had Tamiya's 1/24 scale Tiger I, Panther and Jagd Panther.. The Tiger was an excellent model with a lot of internal detail.

I never got into tank modeling for some reason. I think I was simply too engrossed recreating the major fleet combatants of WWII or playing whichever Avalon Hill game was set up on the folding table in my bedroom.

I'm not sure having a bunch of tanks hanging from your ceiling creates quite the same effect

j/k, I built a fair share of tanks as well. In fact, about 10 years ago I felt nostalgic and bought a few kits to match some of the vehicles I was crewing at the time in WW2 OnLine. Never got around to building those though...  :(

I haven't done a model since the Enterprise-D back in 1992 or so, just before I moved. I never had much patience with models before but this one I took my sweet time on; took me a month or so to put it together and carefully paint everything, even each and every window. I've had an itch to get some models lately but I've no place to put them, so. :(

I prefer tanks I have to say. Much easier to build, paint and weather.

My best ever model - a Jagdpanther which was my absolute fav - and the best weathering I had ever done

There are far better out there - but not by me

Sold this on eBay for £21. Just gathering dust in my conservatory.

Probably shouldn't put photos of tanks in a Planes thread - sorry Mirth. Won't happen again
