I never realized how capable an aircraft the Mirage 2000 was until I watched a completely insane French Air Force pilot "fly it like he stole it" at an air show. It could do everything the F-18 could do including a great tail walk in front of the crowd. Very impressive platform!

Sierra Nevada Corp has gotta be laughing all the way to the bank - they are selling a shitload of A-29's to numerous countries and it looks like a front runner in the light-attack aircraft competition by the USAF.

Yeah. The A-29 and AT-6 look like inbred cousins and quite fragile to boot. A real ground-attack airframe should sport two engines so if one gets shot up the other one can get the crew home,  just like the Bronco...

... or the Warthog.

I had been reading about this program - too bad it's being shelved  :(

It was going to use the Bombardier 6000 as a platform.
