Indeed. He just released a video about the Graf Zeppelin II's ELINT mission to scout England's Chain Home radar net on the eve of WW2.

I've always wondered where the hell the CAP is in this scene? And where are the escort ships?

They're being stealthy. You wouldn't want them to give themselves away, would you?

Backfires are hardly stealthy. That scene isn't in the Sum of All Fears novel at all. It's just a poor rip-off of the 'Dance of the Vampires' carrier battle from Red Storm Rising.

I did get a chuckle that Bob Kelso from Scrubs is an admiral in Sum of All Fears.

;D I rewatched this a few months ago and was laughing at that myself...just waiting for Dr. Cox to come around a corner and glare at him malevolently.

I just did a full re-watch of Scrubs (and there are a lot of damn episodes with 9 seasons). Ken Jenkins was fantastic as Kelso. I happened to catch a few minutes of Sum of All Fears recently and was like, "Oh shit! It's Bob Kelso!"

Try as I might, I can't get through Season 9. I usually rewatch all the episodes every other year or so and did last year, and that time I was all, "I'm gonna get through Season 9," but could not.

It also saddens me that the hospital they filmed in (not a sound stage but an actual hospital that had closed down) was torn down and is now a bunch of condos.

Season 9 is okay, but it's totally unnecessary. It was a convoluted process to get a ninth season and a lot of the cast had already found other work. I read an interview with McGinley where he said they all thought the show ended with season 8, then he got a call telling him to show up for S9. He was still under contract so he went back to work.

The hospital was interesting. The production team had the run of the building and modified it however they wanted for shooting. The cast had their own suites right in the building which is unusual on most sets.

It's a great show and I am not a huge Zach Braff fan. He's talented, but that character on Scrubs was too effing whiny.

Leave it to the USAF to screw up something that should be as simple as looking out a window.

the department has never detailed its assets and liabilities in a given year. For the past three financial years, the Defense Department's audit has resulted in a "Disclaimer of Opinion," meaning the auditor didn't get enough accounting records to form an assessment.
